On 19 December 2022, Immigration Officers from Sibiu town, in cooperation with National Police officers –Sibiu District, performed within AOR an immigration police operation tackling illegal residence and employment of aliens.

With this occasion three males -Vietnamese and Sri Lankan nationals, aged between 31 and 48 years have been caught.

Following investigations, it was concluded that they legally entered Romania but when visa expired they did not leave the country.

For two of them(one from Vietnam and one from Sri Lanka) have been issued MANDATORY RETURNING TO THE HOME COUNTRY  DECISIONS, WITHIN A 15 DAYS VOLUNTARY ASUMED DEADLINE.

For the third alien-a male Vietnamese national, due the fact that he did not obey the previous DECISION OF MANDATORY RETURNING TO THE HOME COUNTRY, till departure Romanian territory under Immigration Police escort, he has been accommodated in the CENTRE FOR THE ALIENS TAKEN IN PUBLIC CUSTODY-Otopeni.

Also, for the Vietnamese nationals, in line with the provisions of the Government Emergency Ordinance no.194/2002 with all later amendments, after departing Romania, a FORBIDDING ENTERING ROMANIA DECISION will be enforced for a period of 1. 6 years and 6 months respectively.

In order to enforce the law and improve safety and security for our community, Immigration Police operations will be performed as well in the future.
