IMMIGRATION OFFICERS –NEAMŢ DISTRICT, CAUGHT FOUR ALIENS BEING IN ILLEGAL RESIDENCE STATUS

During previous days, Immigration officers-Neamţ District, caught two females and two males Sri Lankan, Turkiye and USA nationals, being in illegal residence status.

For each individual, a DECISION FORBIDDING ENTRY IN ROMANIA for a period of 6 months will be issued.

On 6 December 2022, Immigration officers from Immigration Office-Neamţ District performed an immigration police operation aiming to prevent and fight illegal residence and employment of aliens in Romania.

With this occasion there have been caught in illegal status four aliens, two females Sri Lankan nationals- aged 26 and 28, a male Turkiye national-aged 35 and a male USA national-aged 37 respectively.

Following investigations it was concluded that they legally entered Romania, three of them  for employment purpose and one for visiting purpose, but all of them after  their visas  expired they did not leave Romania as required by law.

The male Turkiye national has been caught working in a company located in Târgu-Neamţ, whilst the other three persons have been caught within Târgu-Neamţ area.

When they left Romania, according with provisions of the Government Emergency Ordinance no.194/2002, with all later amendments, Immigration officers issued for all individuals DECISIONS FOR MANDATORY RETURNING TO THEIR HOME COUNTRIES WITHIN VOLUNTARY ASSUMED DEADLINE OF 15 DAYS. Also, for a period of 6 months there has been enforced a FORBIDDING ENTERING ROMANIA DECISION.

For the fourth person a DECISION FOR MANDATORY RETURNING UNDER IMMIGRATION POLICE ESCORT via the International Airport Iaşi, for removal from Romanian territory has been issued.

After leaving Romania a DECISION FORBIDDING ENTERING ROMANIA FOR A PERIOD OF 6 MONTHS will be enforced.

Nevertheless, the representative of the employer has been summoned for the Immigration Office, for taking legal action against him-her.
