At the beginning of this week, two males Pakistani nationals with illegal status in Romania, were found by Hunedoara district Immigration officers in Petroşani town. One of them was taken in public custody.

On 5 December 2022, Immigration officers working with the Hunedoara District-Immigration Office performed a raid within AOR, aiming to fight illegal residence of aliens in Romania.

Following specific police proceedings, Immigration officers found two males Pakistani nationals, aged 23 and 37 respectively.

It resulted that they legally entered Romania for employment purpose, but when the visa expired they did not leave the country.

Previously, a Returning to home country Decision within 15 days deadline for the 23 years old male was issued by the Immigration officers working with Vâlcea district, but he did not complied with, being caught again by the Immigration officers working with Hunedoara district during the mentioned above raid.

The above mentioned male was accommodated at the Centre for Public Custody Arad, till he will be escorted for departing Romania.

Also, when leaving Romania, according with provisions of the Government Emergency Ordinance no.194/2002, with all later amendments, there will be enforced a FORBIDING ENTERING ROMANIA decision, for a period of 1 year and 6 months.

For the male aged 37, a RETURNING DECISION TO HOME COUNTRY, within a 15 days departure voluntary assume deadline from Romania, was also issued.

Immigration officers will keep performing such kind of raids also in the future.
