During the previous days, Immigration officers working with the BUCHAREST IMMIGRATION DIRECTORATE performed a raid within the AOR, aiming to prevent and fight foreigner’s illegal residence and unregistered employment in ROMANIA. A company was sanctioned with a fine in amount of 18,000 lei and a male national of Ivory Coast was taken in public custody.
On 28 November 2022, officers working with the BUCHAREST IMMIGRATION DIRECTORATE-TRACKING/THE SERVICE TASKED FOR FIGHTING ILLEGAL RESIDENCE AND UNREGISTERED EMPLOYMENT OF THE FOREIGNERS, completed all checks regarding 5 companies, located within its AOR.
In four cases there were no irregularities found but in a fifth case, a company was sanctioned with a fine in amount of 18,000 lei, for violating legal provisions as stipulated by the Government Ordinance no.25/2014 regarding foreigner’s employment and assignments in ROMANIA(the obligation of the company to inform IMMIGRATION GENERAL INSPECTORATE within 10 days on the employment of a foreigner on Romanian territory was not fulfilled; also the employment for 20 foreigners, legally residing and excepted from the obligation to obtain employment visa was not reported; nevertheless, the amending of the employment contracts but as well the ceasing of the employment contracts for 8 foreigners were no reported).
Also, yesterday, IMMIGRATION officers brought to the Centre for Accommodation of Foreigners taken under Public Custody-Otopeni, male national of Ivory Coast, which is suspect in a criminal case for illegal state border crossing. This measure will be enforced until the foreigner will be leaving ROMANIA under escort surveillance.
After departing ROMANIA, there will be issued an INTERDICTION TO ENTER ROMANIAN TERRITORY FOR 5 YEARS.
Police raids will be performed also during the next period of time.
