The visit of a delegation of the OSCE at IGI
 Today, September 13 current year, the General Immigration Inspectorate – Regional Center for Procedures and Accommodation for Asylum Seekers Bucharest was visited by a delegation of OSCE headed by Ambassador Madina Jarbussynova, OSCE Special Representative and Coordinator for Combating Human Trafficking.
The activity took place in the context of the visit the OSCE delegation is paying to Romania to review the country’s progress since the last visit made in September, 2013.
During the visit, the IGI representatives presented to the delegation members legislative and institutional aspects regarding the asylum. They also presented statistical elements regarding the accommodated persons and matters of operational nature concerning the organization and functioning of the Regional Center for Procedures and Accommodation for Asylum Seekers Bucharest.
Also, during the meeting, the OSCE ambassador was assured of the active and permanent support and cooperation within the competence field of the General Inspectorate for Immigration.
The activity was completed with a sightseeing tour of the Center’s administrative and accommodation spaces for the asylum seekers, as well as of the special areas set up for educational and recreative activities.
