Public services process optimization offered by IGI by creating the public site
The General Inspectorate for Immigration (IGI), within the Ministry of Internal Affairs, during the period September 2016 – February 2017, conducted activities within the project “Public services process optimization offered by IGI by creating the public site”.
The project is financed through the National Program of the Fund for Asylum, Migration and Integration, and its total value is of 69 145 lei.
The overall objective of the project is to streamline public services offered by IGI by creating the online platform, in order to increase public awareness and institutional transparency.
The new website will be user friendly, with simple and modern architecture, executed in a pleasant chromatic, allowing easy access and navigation for users to online content.
The informative sections of the site will be thus constructed that all interested persons, Romanian or foreign citizens, may benefit from an easy and quick access to information just a click away both in Romanian and other international languages.
At the same time, the site will have an interactive character that will allow the use of online forms for access to information of public interest and for submission of complaints or evidence of payment of fines applied by the immigration police.
Moreover, the development of a mobile device optimized version and the ensuring of the connection to the channels of communication of the institution on major social networks Facebook, Youtube etc.are taken into consideration.
The site will promote in the news and events section the actions and the achievements of the immigration police, carried out domestically and internationally, focusing on cases illustrated with photos and videos.
The activities run under the project will lead to more efficient public services by facilitating online access for a part of the services offered by IGI, helping to reduce administrative burdens for users and greater proximity between citizens and public institutions.
